Guidelines for EDBT/ICDT Poster Sessions, Paper Presentation Sessions, and Demo Sessions

EDBT Full Research Papers, Industrial and Application Papers, and Short Papers

During this year‘s EDBT, we will have two plenary poster sessions, where the authors of all EDBT tracks (research, industrial, or short) will present their work at a poster stand. Posters offer researchers an opportunity to obtain direct feedback about their work from a wide audience during the poster session.

For EDBT Short Research Papers the poster session is the only form of presentation at EDBT.

Full EDBT Research Papers and EDBT Industrial and Applications Papers in addition to the poster presentations will have a presentation slot of 25 minutes plus 5 minutes Q&A in one of the EBDT sessions. In order to find the session, in which a particular paper will be presented, please refer to the detailed program. Each EDBT session will have a session chair. As presenter, please contact your session chair in advance.

As author of an accepted EDBT paper (research, industrial, or short), we therefore ask you to prepare a poster and present your work during one of the two poster sessions. The poster should be A0 size in vertical format (1189 mm in height x 841 mm in width). The font type should be easily legible and sized to be readable at a distance of several feet or 2 to 3 meters/yards. The poster should include the paper title, full name of the authors, with presenting author(s) indicated by underlining, affiliation of the authors, and contact information for the presenting author(s).

The poster should contain the key points of the paper, including the scientific goal, the problem being solved to reach that goal, the solution approach and methodology, the impact/performance of the work and related work. Figure legends are essential and should be short but informative.

The poster sessions are planned for Tuesday, 17:00 to 18:30, and Wednesday, 17:00 to 18:30. For the assignment of the posters to these two sessions please refer to the program overview. The number of the poster stand assigned to each poster will be listed in the detailed program.

The demo teams are responsible for bringing any needed equipment to the conference.
